EXAMINATION DETAILS & ELIGIBILITY
Exam Level	Eligibility For CTET September 2026
Primary Level (Class I to V)	Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed and or appearing in of 2- Year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name know) OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed and or appearing in of 2- Year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name know), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2002. OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed and or appearing in of 4- Year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed and or appearing in of 2- Year Diploma in Education (Special Education). Junior Level (Class VI to VIII)	Graduation and Passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). At last 50% marks either in Graduation or in post-Graduation and passed or appearing in Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). Graduation with at last 45% marks and passed or appearing in Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in of 4- Year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at last 50% marks and passed or appearing in of 4- Year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed. Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in B.Ed. (Special Education). Any candidate having qualified B.Ed. Programmer recognized by the NCTE eligible appear in TET/CTET. Moreover, as per the existing TET guidelines circulated vied NCET letter dated 11/02/2011, a person who is pursuing any of the teacher education course (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI,as the case may be) specified in the NCET Notification dated 23rd August 2010 is also qualified to appear in the TET/ CTET. Post- Graduation with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and passed or equivalent grade and passed or appearing in 3- year integrated B.Ed.- M.Ed.
